President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy made a press statement following his meeting with the Prime Minister of Nepal Sushil Koirala.

The European Union is supporting Nepal on a long-term. The EU's aid to Nepal will be tripled to 360 million euros in the period of 2014-2020. The EU also welcomes the ongoing efforts by the political parties to deliver a democratic and inclusive Constitution by the planned timeframe of early 2015.
