Memo: Statement of President Barroso following the meeting with the President of the UN General Assembly John Ashe

On 4 February 2014, in Strasbourg, President of the European Commission Barroso met the President of the United Nations General Assembly John Ashe. During the meeting, President Barroso and Mr Ashe discussed global issues, including the Millennium Development Goals / Post 2015 agenda and the international climate negotiations. They also reviewed major peace and security developments, namely in Syria and in Central African Republic.
