On the 9 September 2016, the European Union Delegation to Nigeria and the European Union Heads of Mission in Nigeria released an approving statement on the publication of the report of the Kaduna State Government's Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the violence that had occurred in Zaria in December 2015.
