Speech: President Barroso receives the Carlos V Award: “The dream of European unity is indestructible”

On 16 January 2014 President Barroso was awarded the Carlos V European prize of the European Academy at Yuste, in the presence of the Princes of Asturias, the President of the Spanish Government, Mr Mariano Rajoy, and the Prime Minister of Portugal, Mr Pedro Passos Coelho. The ceremony took place at the Real Monasterio de Yuste.

On the following day President Barroso had a meeting with the President of the Spanish Government Mariano Rajoy.
