The third Eastern Partnership summit was held in Vilnius, Lithuania on 28-29 November 2013. It brought together heads of state or government from the 28 EU member states with those of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The Vilnius summit reviewed progress in establishing new Association Agreements, including Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTAs) between the EU and some partner countries.
In particular, the signing ceremony at the Eastern Partnership Summit included:
- the signature of a visa facilitation agreement with Azerbaijan
- the signature of a framework agreement with Georgia on participation in EU Crisis management operations
- the initialling of an Association Agreement including a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area with Georgia
- and the initialling of an Association Agreement including a Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area with the Republic of Moldova.
