Press Release: Taxation: Commission brings a case before the Court of Justice in respect of two discriminatory provisions in Belgian law

On 20 November 2013 the Commission decided to bring an action before the Court of Justice of the European Union concerning the manner in which Belgium taxes, on the one hand, certain income of foreign cooperative societies and those pursuing a social objective and, on the other hand, certain interest paid to foreign companies.
