Text of a speech by José Manuel Durão Barroso, President of the European Commission, following his meeting with the Prime Minister of Romania, Victor Ponta, and the Prime Minister of Moldova, Iurie Leancă, on 15 November 2013.

President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy also met the Prime Minister of Moldova in Brussels. They discussed Moldova's constructive role in the Eastern Partnership and the progress and challenges two weeks before the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
