Press Release: President Barroso’s visit provides fresh impetus to EU- Mongolia bilateral relations

On 17 November 2013, the President of the European Commission, Mr José Manuel Barroso, visited Mongolia. This was the first time that Mongolia has ever been visited by a President of the European Commission.

President Barroso held talks with Mongolia's President Elbegdorj and Prime Minister Altankhuyag. The President was also awarded a Doctorate Honoris Causa by the Mongolian National University and opened the 4th edition of the EU Film Festival.
