Memo: Aides d’Etat: La Commission accueille favorablement l’arrêt du Tribunal de l’Union concernant la subvention annuelle pour France Télévisions

In July 2010, the European Commission approved the annual funding mechanism for France Télévisions under which France Télévisions received a share of the revenue from the public service broadcasting contribution plus a subsidy from the national budget.

Today, on 16 October 2013, the Court of the European Union confirmed the European Commission's decision from 2010 authorizing the annual subsidy financing of France Télévisions. TF1 had previously appealed against the Commission's decision.
