MEPs vote to empower vulnerable consumers

Members of the European Parliament's Internal Market and Consumer Protection ommittee reached an agreement on the 15 October 2013 on a wide-ranging EU policy programme aimed at strengthening consumer organisations and promoting price comparison websites.

The EU's Consumer Programme, which covers the period 2014-2020, will support actions in the fields of product safety, consumer information and education, redress and enforcement.
