Press Release: Statement by the spokesperson of EU High Representative Catherine Ashton on the terrorist attacks in Tripoli in the north of Lebanon

Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the Commission on 23 August 2013 stated that she was appalled by the tragic attacks that happened in Tripoli in the north of Lebanon, killing many and injuring hundreds. She extended her condolences to the families of the victims and underlined the need to maintain peace and security in Lebanon.
