President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy met with the President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambaev on 17 September 2013. They discussed the human rights protection in Kyrgyzstan, the EU support to the organisation of 2015 elections in Kyrgyzstan, the fight against corruption, the structural and macro-economic reforms and the regional cooperation.
