Turkey will probably never join the EU: Ankara negotiator

Turkey's chief EU negotiator, Mr Egemen Bağış, said on the 21 September 2013 that the country would probably never join the European Union because of prejudicial attitudes by the bloc's existing members. This appeared to be the first high-level acknowledgment that its decades-long bid might fail.
