Press Release: Lebanon: Further support of €58 million to deal with Syria crisis

The European Commission adopted new funding for a total of €58 million in support of Lebanon on 10 September 2010. The objective of this assistance is to alleviate the impact of the high influx of refugees from Syria.

The support addresses medium and longer-term needs of refugees from Syria and Lebanese host communities alike; in particular through supporting childhood and education services and through enhancing basic infrastructure and economic recovery in the country.
