OECD more optimistic than Brussels about French growth

A moderate recovery was underway in the major advanced economies, according to the OECD’s Interim Economic Assessment published in September 2013. Growth was proceeding at encouraging rates in North America, Japan and the UK. The euro area as a whole was out of recession, although output remained weak in a number of countries.
