Obama in Berlin again, but not Brussels

US President Barack Obama visited Berlin on the 18-19 June 2013 for a two-day visit after his trip to Northern Ireland for the G8 summit. Although he frequently comes to European capitals commentators noted he had never gone to the EU capital Brussels which reflected a lack of interest in the European Union (EU).
