The aim of this study is to identify the relevant national and supranational associational actors (that is, the trade unions and employer associations) in the field of industrial relations in the live performance sector; and secondly, to show how these actors relate to the sector’s European interest associations of labour and business.

The study has three main parts: a summary of the sector’s economic background; an analysis of the social partner organisations in all EU Member States, including their membership, their role in collective bargaining and public policy, and their national and European affiliations; and an analysis of relevant European organisations, including their membership composition and capacity to negotiate.
