Memo: European Commission’s initial reaction to stability and reform programmes announced by the Spanish Government

The European Commission welcomed the approval of Spain's National Reform Programme and Stability Programme on 26 April 2013.

As announced on 10 April 2013, the Commission will proceed by examining the policy plans set out in these two programmes, to assess to which extent they are adequate given Spain's excessive imbalances. The Commission's conclusions and recommendations will be made on 29 May 2013.
