Press Release: The donor coordination group for the Palestinian people, the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC), meets in Brussels on 19 March

The annual spring meeting of the donor coordination group for the Palestinian people, the Ad Hoc Liaison Committee (AHLC), was held in Brussels on 19 March 2013. The meeting was hosted by Catherine Ashton, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission, and presided by Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide in his capacity as chair of the AHLC. Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad attended the meeting.

During the meeting a financing agreement on Area C was signed, and it was formally annouced the formal adoption of the new European Union-Palestinian Authority Action Plan.
In 2013 the European Union maintained the same level of assistance as in 2012, that is 300 EUR mln.
