Former Venezuelian president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez died on the 5 March 2013 at the age of 92. The President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, and the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso released a statement on this regard.
