Memo: EU-Belarus Discussing ways to strengthen European Dialogue on Modernisation

On 20 February 2013 in Brussels, the Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle met with eight representatives of Belarusian civil society, the coordinators of the European Dialogue on Modernisation with Belarusian society. The priorities for modernisation in Belarus and how these could be achieved were the main topics of the meeting as well as the conditions for the work of NGOs more generally. The Commissioner took careful note of the proposals which inter alia cover issues of judicial, social and economic reforms.
