Consultative Forum on Fundamental Rights elects Chairpersons at inaugural meeting

The Frontex Consultative Forum held its inaugural meeting in Warsaw on 16 October 2012 and elected its first two Co-Chairs. Aydan Iyigüngör, of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) and Stefan Kessler of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) will serve for one year as Co-Chairs representing EU Agencies and NGOs respectively.

The forum was set up to advise Frontex’s Executive Director and its Management Board on the fundamental rights aspects of Frontex’s activities. The Forum will meet at least twice a year.
