Most of the main planks of the planned European Banking Union are now in place following agreements in December 2013 over the single resolution mechanism, the recovery and resolution directive and deposit guarantee harmonisation. these supplement the existing agreements covering the supervisory mechanism. The arrangements will not apply to the UK. |
