Immigrant healthcare ban causes indignation in Spain

On 24 August 2012 EurActiv reported that after the central government in Spain imposed a ban on free healthcare for illegal immigrants, some doctors and regions protested and said that they will continue providing free healthcare for these immigrants. The government decided to introduce this controversial regulation due to the austerity measures imposed in order to avoid the international bailout.
