The annual report on public access to Council documents provides information on the Council’s public register of documents. It shows how the statistics on access to documents have evolved and highlights the key developments as regards the implementation of the Regulation by the Council in 2011. The analysis of the requests for public access and the citizens’ use of the arrangements made for them to exercise their right of public access suggest that the aims set by the Treaties and by Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 continued to be achieved in 2011.
