The Instrument for Stability is a specific thematic instrument designed to work with partner countries and regional organisations in order to enhance their capacity to manage crises, emerging dangers and destabilizing threats to security across regions through the establishment of trans-national and trans-regional cooperation networks. The brochure focuses on the instrument’s longer-term dimension, which provides the means to strengthen the response capacities of partner countries to distinctly trans-regional security issues such as cross-border threats to the security and safety of individuals, critical infrastructure and public health, as well as risks from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear materials or agents. A brief reminder of the general structure of the Instrument for Stability can be found at the end of the brochure. |
