The Communities and Local Government Committee published its second Report on the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) on 4 July 2012. The report consists of Volume I: Report, together with formal
minutes, oral and written evidence and Volume II, Additional written evidence.

The report contains the proceedings of the committee and reviews various matters related to the ERDF. The report discusses the abolition of the Regional Development Agencies, that removed the main source of match funding for ERDF sponsored projects. It also discusses the endorsement of rule changes regarding the Operational Programme areas for the ERDF round of (2014-2020). The report also challenges the allocation system of the ERDF funding; it therefore proposes amendments to the allocation system.
