Farmers call on Brussels to support wildlife protection

Welsh farmers were in Brussels on the 20 March 2012 to call for greater support for wildlife conservation measures in the countryside.

Farmers from Wales, Norfolk and Northern Ireland met Members of the European Parliament to highlight the importance of targeted agri-environment schemes in the newly-reformed Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). They were joined by farmers from the Republic of Ireland, Portugal, Latvia and the Czech Republic.
