Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc called for dialogue on the 16 January 2012, and an end to violence after four days of protests against austerity cuts.

Dozens of people were hurt on the 15 January 2012, as demonstrators and riot police clashed for a second day running in the capital Bucharest.
