The European Programme for Public Health Microbiology Training (EUPHEM) is a training programme in public health microbiology, managed by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). The programme provides training and practical experience at European laboratories with public health reference functions to EU microbiologists with a medical, veterinary or environmental microbiology background and previous experience in public health. The applicants for the EUPHEM fellowships should be interested in applying microbiological principles and methods to the prevention and control of diseases in the human population.
