The Irish Minister for Research and Innovation, Sean Sherlock addressed the JPND Management Board at its 9th meeting which took place in Dublin Castle on 29 September 2011. The Joint Programme on Neurodegenerative Disease is one of a number of EU joint research initiatives designed to connect national research programmes across Europe in order to avoid duplication of research activities and to build critical mass in addressing research challenges.
