Andrew Duff MEP, Spokesman on Constitutional Affairs, Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe, discussed the perceived lack of popular legitimacy in the European Parliament and considered recent moves to address this. Regarding Britain's relationship with Europe, Mr Duff argued that Britain faces the danger of being relegated to a second-class form of membership of the EU inside ten years.
