Denmark to hold EU referendum in December

Denmark's Prime Minister PM Lars Løkke Rasmussen announced on the 21 August 2015 that Danes would vote in a referendum on the 3 December 2015 on replacing Denmark's 'opt-out' on EU justice and home affairs with an 'opt-in' model that would adopt 22 pieces of legislation if passed.

However, Mr Rasmussen emphasised that Denmark would continue to set its own course when it came to immigration issues.
