Fundamental rights: Challenges and achievements in 2010

This annual report from the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) provides a review of the main fundamental rights developments and events in the EU in 2010.

The Report covers several titles of the
Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, as follows:

Freedoms: Asylum, immigration and integration; Border control and visa policy; Information society and data protection

Equality: The rights of the child and protection of children; Equality and non-discrimination; Racism and ethnic discrimination

Citizen's Rights: Participation of EU citizens in the Union’s democratic functioning

Justice: Access to efficient and independent justice; Protection of victims

There is also a special focus on the Roma in the EU.
