Leaflet describes the Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS), an encrypted navigation service designed to be more resistant to jamming, involuntary interference and spoofing. It is similar to other Galileo services, but with some important differences. The PRS is primarily intended for use by EU Member State government agencies, including emergency services (fire bregades, ambulances, search and rescue) and police, internal security and customs authorities. Access to the PRS will be controlled through an encryption key system approved by Member States' governments. |
