France ‘positive’ about recognising Palestinian state

EurActiv reported in April 2011 that there was rising speculation that the EU would support the Palestinian move to seek statehood at the United Nations General Assembly in September 2011 in a bid to inject life into peace talks, which have been put on ice since Israel resumed settlement building in the West Bank in September 2010.
