Migrant boat sinks off Italian island

More than 150 people fleeing Libya were missing after their small overcrowded boat sank in high seas south off the Italian island of Lampedusa before dawn on the 6 April 2011.

Those fleeing Libya on the boat were said to have come from Somalia, Eritrea, Sudan, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Chad and Bangladesh.
