29 countries from the European Economic Area (EEA) sent 70 participants to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki on 25 January 2011, to strengthen the national enforcement of CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation). The coordinators of national inspectors were trained on the REACH and CLP duties of downstream users of chemicals. Participants discussed practical examples and received a manual to promote a harmonised approach to enforcement across the European Economic Area. Inspections at national level will start in summer 2011. |
