Summary: The European Commission announced on 3 February 2011 which countries and regions were chosen to lead each priority area of work within the context of the Strategy for the Danube Region. This was decided so that each leading country agrees a work programme and identifies sources of finance within each section of the action plan. Eleven priority areas were identified. The proposal for an EU Strategy for the Danube Region was unveiled in December 2010. |
