How to shop safely online

This white paper, from the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), provides a comprehensive overview of the definition, history, the main drivers and trends in online shopping. It looks into bank payment services, the underlying Internet infrastructure services and online fraud. It provides guidelines to consumers in the form of five ‘golden rules’ on how to shop online safely and, also, a comprehensive checklist for the online seller. As many citizens are feaful of falling victim to online fraudsters,
this report increases awareness of the real risks and how to tackle them.
