Press Release: Mergers: Commission approves acquisition of automotive seat structure manufacturer CRH by automotive supplier Johnson Controls

The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of the CRH group of companies (CRH), which manufactures metal structures and mechanisms for car seats, by Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI), a supplier of automotive components and systems. The companies compete in the markets for car seat structures and related components such as seat adjusters and head rests, but their combined market shares will remain relatively moderate. They will also face both the competitive pressure of other suppliers as well as the buyer power of the car manufacturers themselves.
