Eurozone jobless total rises above 10%

The jobless rate in the 16-member currency bloc rose to 10.1% in September 2010, up from 10% the previous month, according to seasonally adjusted data released by the European Union’s statistical arm on the 29 October 2010.

The figure is the highest since the creation of the eurozone in 1999.
