This paper explores various approaches to the question of how much national law is based on or influenced by EU law. It is primarily concerned with the United Kingdom, though section 6 considers studies which have been carried out in a number of other EU states: Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, Belgium and two non-EU states, Norway and Iceland. Appendix 1 lists UK Acts implementing EU obligations and Appendix 2 comprises Sectoral snapshots. Appendix 3 lists Other views and studies. |
