Commission backs ‘unitary character’ of CTM

The Commissioner for the Internal Market, Michel Barnier, on 21 September 2010, told the European Parliament, that the European Commission was determined to stop any new restriction of the Community trade mark on 'genuine use' grounds. The Commissioner was taking part in a Parliament debate on the 'Use of Community trade marks in the internal market'.
