MEP wants to scrap ‘entry threshold’ for citizens’ petitions

EurActiv has reported that the European Commission has dismissed as impractical suggestions by Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) to scrap the 100,000 signature requirement needed to legally file a petition under the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI).
