The European Commission has concluded that a changed regime to support newspapers in Sweden is now in line under EU state aid rules. In particular, the method for calculating state support to metropolitan newspapers has been fundamentally changed and the aid intensities significantly reduced, while preserving the objective of media pluralism. |
