The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) brought together national experts from the EU Member States at a meeting in Parma on 26 March 2010, to discuss EFSA’s ongoing scientific work on bisphenol A (BPA). Bisphenol A is a chemical that is mainly used in combination with other chemicals to manufacture plastics and resins.
