Article reports that CDU Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, had no plans to meet David Cameron when she travelled to London on the 1 April 2010 for talks with UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown, in what could be seen as a snub to the Conservative Party leader.

Ms Merkel was said to be is still seething over Mr Cameron's decision to pull the Conservatives out of the centre-right grouping in the European Parliament, which is dominated by her own Christian Democrat party.
