European Globalisation Adjustment Fund: Discussion

The Committee discussed the Irish agri-food sector, in particular the issue of country of origin labelling and how changes may be brought about at EU level. The Committee also considered the current difficulties relating to the European Globalisation Fund, the Irish application to which was approved by the European Parliament in November 2009, for the purpose of assisting redundant workers at Dell and ancillary companies.
