Issues where Parliament made a difference in Structural and Cohesion Policies

This Note aims to provide a broad introduction to issues to which the European Parliament has attached particular importance in recent years in the field of structural and cohesion policies. More specifically, it describes how Parliament, using the powers at its disposal, set out to make a difference in relation to these issues during the period 2004-2009.

The Note is divided into five parts, which correspond to the areas of competence of five parliamentary committees of the specified period: Transport and Tourism; Regional Development; Agriculture and Rural Development; Fisheries; Culture and Education.
